The Project

Sawalef IT project inspired by podcast applications that become popular in the current period, its main focus on IT related conversations either the single speaker or between parties. the podcast content will be hosted in personal cloud storage and loaded from the app based on the internet speed that users have. the app offers many features that will be shown on this topic.

Method: Personal thought, Wireframe, Prototyping.
Duration: 3 weeks.
Tools: PHP Laravel Framework and MySQL, Ionic Framework with Angular V9.

The Process

In the project we have followed the process as follows:
Research – Define – Ideate – Prototype – Iterate

The Idea

Many research has been done and we have come up with many ideas to implement the project and as we go we have drawn many prototypes to represent the solution and we have decided on the most user-friendly look and feel. all user interface and user experience have been taken care so no complexity in using the application.

Core Features:

  • The app will allow the user to browse among the topics and play the desired content.
  • The user can mark a topic as a favorite for easy and quick reference and access.
  • The user can request hosting if interested.
  • The user will receive notifications if enables.

Implementation

Before implementation phase while defining the tools we decided that we required both server-side and client-side implementation and based on that decided to go with the following:

Server-side development:

  • PHP Laravel Framework
  • MySQL Database

Client-side development:

  • Ionic Framework
  • Angular Framework

Tools and software’s:

  • Sublime Text
  • VSCode
  • Google Chrome
  • Postman
  • XAMPP
  • Android Studio

Future Updates

There are plans for future updates as follows:

  • Ability to share the content
  • Ability to comment on a topic
  • Ability to follow up on the hosting requests

Test

As we go, we have performed many rounds of tests including accessibility, and functional testing where we tried our best to comply with the best practice and experience.
